Another tough route on the way to Toulouse, but this time it will probably end in a bunch gallop. The winner will be the sprinter who can also climb the best as the route contains two third category climbs and two fourth category climbs. This will again be the sprinters’ last chance of glory for a few days so it will be up to their team-mates to get them over the climbs and control the breaks.

STAGE FACTS

? Toulouse was a stage town in the original Tour in 1903.

? The last winner in Toulouse was Juan-Antonio Flecha who rode in on his own in 2003.

? This is the 26th time that Toulouse has hosted the Tour, 14th most used in history.

? Apart from Paris, Bordeaux is the most used town in the Tour, with 78 visits.
