Over 2000 riders took to Sandown Race Course on Sunday for the start of Cycling Weekly’s final sportive of the year, the Box Hill Original.
With excellent weather set throughout the day, rider took on the 43, 70 or 102 mile routes that took in some of the most iconic Surrey hills, including Leith Hill, Whitedown and of course Box Hill, before returning to the finish at the racecourse.
The event was made extra special by the appearance of Sir Chris Hoy, who was appearing with Science in Sport. Hoy rode the short course before meeting and greeting fans at the finish.
