Name: Jason Kenny

Age: 20

From: Bolton

Disciplines: Track (sprint and team sprint)

Career synopsis: Still only 20 years old, Kenny is one of GB Cycling?s brightest young prospects. At the age of only 18, the rider from Bolton won three golds at the European junior track championships and then went on to take three golds at the World junior track championships in the same year. Riding his first Olympics, Kenny will certainly be one to watch out for.

Titles held: 2006 European champion team sprint, keirin, sprint

Two things you didn?t know about… Kenny does a lot of heavy weights in the gym to supplement his training and prefers the sprint to riding keirin as it is more predictable with less scope for things to go wrong.
