Career synopsis: Bellis started his career on the track, quickly winning several junior titles. He is also a strong road rider, finishing a surprising yet impressive third in the U23 World Road Race last year. Riding in the road race in this year?s Olympics, Bellis will play a supporting role for Britain?s older and more experienced riders, but is certainly one to watch out for in the future.

Two things you didn?t know about… Bellis practiced a range of sports in his childhood, but chose cycling at the age of 15. The Manxman will ride as a stagiaire for the CSC Saxo bank from September 1.
