Sky Pro Cycling is being rebranded as Team Sky for the 2014 season, the British-based WorldTour squad has announced.

All mentions of ‘Sky Pro Cycling’ will be rebranded with the less cumbersome Team Sky with immediate effect – including the team’s website, promotional material and vehicles.

The team’s race clothing has always used main sponsor Sky’s logo, rather than the full name of the squad, so there is no change there.

Team Sky will make its 2014 WorldTour racing debut at the Tour Down Under on Tuesday, January 21.

How will that larger logo fare in the wind tunnel?

  • Andy Easterbrook

Another marginal gain? The riders can get through an interview a mili second quicker for each time they can say ‘team Sky’ instead of ‘sky pro Cycling’!
