Circuit of Kent sportive: Last chance for entries

Circuit of Kent

The last remaining entries for this year's Circuit of Kent cyclo-sportive are currently still available. For those that haven't heard of the event, it's one of the longest-running and best organised sportives in the UK. This year's 15th edition takes place on Sunday, September 9.

The event was one of the first to give challenge times based on age and gender, and its early success paved the way for numerous British sportives.

Two routes are offered: 80km and 130km. Both follow quiet country lanes in the 'Garden of England' starting and finishing in Godden Green, Sevenoaks. Entry costs £30.

All participants will be provided with a generous free post-ride meal, giving them a chance to relax to the sound of live music and go over the day's action.

Proceeds from the event go to Macmillan Cancer Support and Hospice In The Weald, and so far over £400,000 has been raised for cancer charities.

Nigel Wynn
Former Associate Editor

Nigel Wynn worked as associate editor on CyclingWeekly.com, he worked almost single-handedly on the Cycling Weekly website in its early days. His passion for cycling, his writing and his creativity, as well as his hard work and dedication, were the original driving force behind the website’s success. Without him, CyclingWeekly.com would certainly not exist on the size and scale that it enjoys today. Nigel sadly passed away, following a brave battle with a cancer-related illness, in 2018. He was a highly valued colleague, and more importantly, an exceptional person to work with - his presence is sorely missed.
