Entries have been flooding in for the Cycling Weekly sportives on Sunday but there is still time to book a place for our 33, 73 and 100-mile rides.

A big thank-you to everyone who has already entered online – we’ve had a phenomenal response for a first year promotion, but we can still squeeze in a few more riders. Just visit the UK Cycling Events website before 11am on Friday, or enter on the day for a small additional charge.

We’ll all be there: I’ve opted for the 33-mile fun ride, as expected, but you’ll also get to meet the staff battling it out around the 73 and 100-mile routes. This is the unofficial office championship, but we’re not telling Michael Hutchinson on account of his being slightly better than the rest of us!

All three rides start from Friends Life, Pixham End, Dorking, Surrey, RH4 1QA, with registration opening at 7.40am. It’s easy to find, opposite the Denbies Wine Estate, halfway between Dorking and Box Hill, our famous local climb which features in all three rides.

The two longer distances also include Leith Hill, Pitch Hill and White Down, before heading east to Godalming, Haslemere and beyond.

Free energy drink and food, mechanical support, electronic timing, bike wash and great company are assured. Now all we need is some sunshine.

The Sportif ride at the weekend was great,, many thanks.

One question though…are the road bumps on Box Hill going to be removed for the olympic event??
Also how come there will be limited spectators allowed on race day when there are thousands of people at the top of Box Hill every weekend??

    Go figure.
