Manchester Velodrome plays host to the UCI Track World Championships next year (March 26-30, 2008), where the cream of the world’s track talent will battle it out for the coveted rainbow jerseys and a place on their country’s Olympic squads.

The Great Britain team will be there in strength, hoping to defend – and perhaps add to – the unprecedented seven golds won at this year’s championships held at Palma Velodrome in Majorca.

“We are looking forward to next year’s championships in one of Britain’s most successful Olympic sports,” said UK Sport International Director John Scott. “We would encourage everyone to get to the event to witness at first hand some truly world class performances with British athletes competing against the top international track cycling nations.”

Day ticket prices start from £15 for adults and £7.50 for under-16s. Discounted family tickets are also available. Tickets are on sale now via www.worldtrackcycling.com.
