A cyclist in Russia came close to being seriously hurt after narrowly avoiding a collision between a car and a lorry
As close calls come, this has to be the pinnacle.
While riding over a pedestrian crossing at a crossroads in the outskirts of Moscow, things look immediately worrying for a man riding his bike, as a lorry appears to brazenly flout the give way rule and hurtles across the intersection without seeming to slow down or consider other vehicles whatsoever.
But while the rider clearly seems to notice the unstoppable lorry bearing down on him and appears to slow down as to let it steam past, a sudden collision with a car sends the lorry straight towards him.
In a stroke of luck though, the collision forces the lorry on to two wheels and while it does appear to hit the cyclist, the angle of the lorry certainly seems to save the cyclist from more serious injury.
And as the rider looks on in shock and horror in the immediate aftermath of the incident, he appears unhurt as he goes on to help other citizens to pull the lorry driver from his overturned vehicle.
The footage was taken from a traffic surveillance camera that was subsequently uploaded to Youtube by the operators.
