Jon Izaguirre won the stage eight time trial at the Tour de Suisse and finished second overall after the following day’s final stage.

Although a strong ride throughout, his time trial victory owes much to the speeds he reached on the descents as this video shows.

After heading out the front on stage seven of the Tour de Suisse, Matthias Brändle would have known he was going to get caught as soon as the road went upwards.

Seeing the GC group coming up fast he knew his day was done and marked the moment with a quick wheelie.

Britain’s most celebrated Olympian has been far from lazy in his retirement, and as well as staying in incredible shape he’s spent a lot of his team motor racing.

Sir Chris took part in the Le Mans 24 Hour race and his team came a strong 12th in their class and 18th overall, from a field of 60 cars.
