The John Ibbotson fund is once again putting on its Fish and Hits night as it continues to raise money to send young riders racing in Europe.

This year the fund is backing Sam Allen and Alistair Carr, who was backed by the fund for the second part of last season. Allen moves to Brittany at the end of February where he will stay with former pro Tony Mills.

Alistair Carr, who has already speant two seasons racing in France, has had to delay the start of his season due to a knee injury sustained on a pre season team skiing trip.

The popular Fish and Hits night takes place on February 20, in Walton on the Hill, near Boxhill in Surrey. The night features live music from a local band and a top notch fish and chip supper.

Tickets are still available but must be pre-ordered.

The fund’s other money raiser is the Ibbo’s Cake Quest sportive that takes place in late September. Online entry is now available.
