Belgian duo Jasper De Buyst and Kenny De Ketele lead the Ghent Six-Day track event after the first night's action

Mark Cavendish and Iljo Keisse (Omega Pharma-QuickStep) are in fourth spot behind leaders Jasper De Buyst and Kenny De Ketele (Baloise Insurance) after the opening night of the 2014 Ghent Six-Day in Belgium.

Cavendish and Keisse put in a solid performance on Tuesday night, placing second in the Madison, team elimination and points race.

De Buyst and De Ketele lead the competition with 84 points, with Leif Lampater and Silvan Dillier (Team Caruur) in second with 52 points and Alex Rasmussen and Marc Hester (Team Lotto) with 50 points. Cavendish and Keisse have 48 points.

The Ghent Six-Day concludes on Sunday November 23.
