On-bike footage of Peter Sagan's blistering win at the Tour of California (video)
A camera attached to a Drapac Pro Cycling bike records Peter Sagan's win at the Tour of California
The Giro d'Italia is not the only race to have on-bike cameras at the moment as the Tour of California got in on the act with these two videos of Peter Sagan's stage four win.
With a camera attached to the back of one of Drapac Pro Cycling's Wouter Wippert leadout men we are treated to a view of Sagan and co speeding round the final corners of the race.
It's pretty remarkable just how close Sagan gets to the safety barrier as he makes the right turn towards the finish, getting straight out of the saddle to start his build-up to the sprint.
Then in the second video we can see the Slovak open up his sprint, beating Mark Cavendish and Wippert to the line at Avila Beach.
>>> The curious case of Peter Sagan
The win was Sagan's first since March, when he took stage six at the Tirreno-Adriatico, and only the second of his season. It comes after three successive second-place finishes in California - a position he's found himself in on seven occassions this year.
