The John Ibbotson fund still has tickets left for the Etape du Sports Café in Haymarket, London, this Saturday.
The fund has hired a section of the Sports Café and will be screening the 20th stage of this year’s Tour that will see the favourits battle it out on the classic climb of Mont Ventoux.
Bradley Wiggins’s bid to become the first Brit to stand on the Tour podium in Paris puts an extra level of significance to the day as the Londoner regularly raced against John Ibbotson when the two were junior riders.
Two special guests will also be attending. Cervelo Test Team’s Dan Lloyd will be present along with TV comentator and former team mate of Lance Armstrong, Brian Smith.
They will be auctioning off a signed Cervelo jersey after the stage.
The last few tickets have been reduced to £30 while under-18’s get in for free.
The event takes place in the Executive Booth at the Sports Café, Haymarket, from 13.00 – 18.00 hrs. Tickets include soft drinks and food.
