Bigfoot CC to host round 12 of the London Cyclo-Cross League in the 'Badlands' area of the Kent Cyclopark

Bigfoot Cycling Club has stepped in to organise round 12 of the London Cyclo-Cross League after one of the longest-running ‘cross races at Foots Cray Meadows was forced to close due to rising costs.

The Foots Cray Meadows event, held in Bexley, Kent, has been a regular fixture in the ‘cross calendar, but organising club Gemini CC was reluctantly forced to withdraw the event after an increase in costs from the local council.

Bigfoot CC and Bigfoot Go-Ride have come up with a new event situated next to the Cyclopark, Gravesend in Kent that pays homage to the Foots Cray race.

The event will use an area of land next to the Cyclopark that is affectionately known as the ‘Badlands’, and a weaving course has been created that is challenging and spectator-friendly.

Bigfoot has a commitment to encouraging young riders to get involved, and there will be a full range of events ranging from the under 10s to the over-50s.

Round 12 of the London Cyclo-Cross League takes place at Cyclopark on January 3, with entry prices ranging from £6-£15.
