Pooley Makes Solo Break To Win GP Plouay World Cup

Emma Pooley Giro Donne 2009

Emma Pooley soloed to victory in the GP de Plouay this weekend, breaking away for a spectacular 45 kilometre move that netted the Cervélo pro her second World Cup victory of the season.

The Olympic time trial silver medallist never had a lead of more than 1 minute 20 seconds. But despite a ferocious chase by the Australian team and a strong lone counter-attack by Nicole Cooke, Pooley stayed away for a spectacular win.
