Barker and Garner take wins in Omloop van Borsele
Britain's world-beating junior women took charge last weekend at the Omloop van Borsele, a leading women's junior stage race in the Netherlands.
Both a Great Britain and Wales team competed in the event, and both came back with silverware.
World Championship time trial silver medalist Elinor Barker (Wales) won the race overall, on the back of a victorious performance in the opening day's 13-kilometre time trial.
Meanwhile, junior road race world champion Lucy Garner (Great Britain) took a comfortable victory in the third and final stage, on the way to fifth overall, after a strong lead-out from team-mate Emily Kay.
Three in a row for ODP
"We raced against each other this weekend, to give them the experience. It brings them on: they're a real strong group of girls, this is what will make them better riders," Olympic Development Programme coach Matt Winston said.
"I'd seen them on the [training] camp, I knew the form was pretty good and they really got stuck in."

The talents on the ODP are making victory in Borsele a habit: Barker's success means it's three wins in a row, following in the wheel-tracks of 2010 and 2011 champions Laura Trott and Hannah Barnes.
Meanwhile, a Great Britain junior men's team raced at the Tour of Istria in Croatia, the second round of the Nations Cup. Sam Lowe finished 13th and Tao Geoghegan Hart was third in the young rider's competition. However, the team went down to five men early on after Ollie Wood crashed on a descent, fracturing his arm.
