Places available for London Cycle Sportive with Herne Hill Velodrome team

Organisers of the Circuit of Kent cyclo-sportive are offering free places at the London Cycle Sportive on June 30 for riders to join the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust Team. The only caveat is that each rider must raise £100 in sponsorship, which will go directly to the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust.

The London Cycle Sportive starts in Dulwich Park before embarking on a route through the Surrey Hills, including Box Hill, before arriving at Herne Hill Velodrome for the finish.

Three routes are offered: 50km, 100km and 160km (100 miles). More details can be found at the London Cycle Sportive website.

Herne Hill Velodrome has recently undergone extensive renovation work, including a resurfacing of the track that was used in the 1948 London Olympic Games. The final phase of the venue's restoration will be the renovation of the grandstand.

If you're interested in joining the Herne Hill Velodrome Trust Team at the London Cycle Sportive, email Edith Fehrenbach at efehrenbach@hhvt.org.
