Cycling Weekly photographer Andy Jones produces 2015 calendar dedicated to the British cycling scene

Cycling Weekly photographer Andy Jones has produced a British-themed cycling calendar for 2015, including one of his fine shots for every month of the year.

Jones’s photographs of British and international road, time trial, track and cyclo-cross races frequently grace the pages of Cycling Weekly magazine and here on www.cyclingweekly.com.

The calendar fills a gap in the market that has been empty for a number of years, as publisher Chris Sidwells explains: “When I started cycling in the 1970s a British Cycling Stars Calendar was published each year that presented the previous 12 months of cycling in Britain with a photo from each month.

“It was an ideal Christmas present and just a nice thing to have on your wall all year, and it became part of what cycling was back then. I thought it would be great to resurrect it using Andy Jones’s photographs because Andy is such a big part of the British racing scene.”

According to Sidwells, the A4-sized, full-colour calendar will be the first of many, and the first venture for his new publishing company, The Pedal Press. “The Andy Jones British Cycling Stars Calendar will become an annual event. This first one is also the first thing published by my new business venture, The Pedal Press.

“It’s a small publishing company dedicated to producing books about cycling from a variety of authors. The first Pedal Press book will be Vas-y Barry, Barry Hoban’s new autobiography, the one he says he wished he could have written straight after he stopped racing in 1980. It will be published early in 2015.”

The Andy Jones British Cycling Stars Calendar is available for £12 including first class postage and packaging via www.chrissidwells.com.
