We want to find out how much you really know about the Giro d'Italia, the first Grand Tour of the season

Arguably the best time of the cycling year – the cobbled Classics – is now well behind us, and as upsetting as that is there is some comfort available in the shape of the Giro d’Italia.

The first Grand Tour of the season kicks off with an individual time trial in the Dutch city of Apeldoorn. This is followed by two sprint stages before the race returns home.

After many gruelling days in the mountains, including an uphill time trial on stage 15, the final winner will be crowned in Turin.

Who that will be though, who knows? The contest for the GC is fairly open, but the winner will probably come from the trio of Mikel Landa (Team Sky), Vincenzo Nibali (Astana) and Alejandro Valverde (Movistar).
