Team Sky have produced a great 360 degree video showing the riders' build up to the Tour de France and action from the Tour de Romandie

Ever at the forefront of innovation in cycling, Team Sky have produced a 360 degree video of their Tour de France build up for Facebook, and it’s pretty cool.

If you’ve never experienced a 360 video before, it allows the viewer to see every angle of the footage by either tilting and rotating their phone or clicking round the video on a desktop computer.

Sky takes ups behind the scenes of their preparations for the Tour de France, including footage from training rides and the Tour de Romandie.

Once the riding footage gets going at the 20-second mark you can rotate around all of the cyclists on the road, including Geraint Thomas and Chris Froome.

Rotate the camera as the cyclists go past to get the full experience, with the shots of Froome zooming past in the Romandie time trial (1m16) and descents on a training ride (1m45) really taking you to the heart of the action.

People may thing you’re weird as you sit there rotating your phone to all sorts of angles, but the mocking will be worth it for this video.
