Womersley wins Yorkshire Points 'cross in Wakefield

Exciting young prospect Jake Womersley (Altura Sportscover) took victory in the latest round of the Yorkshire Points Series in West Yorkshire, securing his first win of the season in convincing style at Thornes Park in Wakefield.

The 16-year-old crossed the line 46 seconds ahead of his nearest rival after taking over at the front early in the race and powering on alone, while Simon Maudsley (Dirtwheels Cycles) was second and Andrew Stuart (Nottingham Clarion) third.
