The squad lists for the Vuelta a España are already trickling in and by the look of it we are in for one of the best lineups in many years for the race that starts on August 22.
Tour de France champion Chris Froome will lock horns once again with Nairo Quintana and Alejandro Valverde, both of whom will ride for Movistar, and Vincenzo Nibali , of Astana, who finished second, third and fourth respectively at the Tour.
Nibali will be joined by the two riders who finished second and third at the Giro d'Italia, Fabio Aru and Mikel Landa, as Astana name a very strong squad for the final Grand Tour of the year.
Tejay van Garderen is another big name general classification contender in the mix in Spain after being forced to abandon the Tour de France early.
