The UK’s leading women-only sportive series, Macmillan Cycletta, has added another distance to five of their events to include a 20km route.

The move comes in response to market demand, with more beginner or inexperienced cyclists looking to participate in their first cycling event.

Macmillan Cycletta announced previously that a long-distance route of 150km would be added to their series as well to accommodate those cyclists looking for a greater challenge.

Dan Lipman, marketing director with organiser Human Race commented: “We’re very much listening to what our participants are looking for from an event and ensuring their needs are met.

“We’re delighted to include the 20km distance in the Macmillan Cycletta Series and look forward to getting many more women involved in the event series this year.”
