The best looking custom bikes of 2017

Our picks of the coolest custom bikes from 2017

All cyclists are suckers for custom bikes. Maybe it's their unattainable status that attracts us so much or the fact that they just look so good. Either way, here are five of our favourites from 2017.

Merida Reacto

This dazzling paint scheme was first used to help hide the prototype Merida Reacto from prying eyes, something we've seen bike comes do time and again at major races – think Cervélo and the R5.

Still, it's a brilliant paint job, reminiscent of World War One camouflage and Merida has even paired the wheels and finishing kit to the frame, too. Top marks.

FityOne

This good looking FiftyOne frame is the born out of a collaboration with Enve, who is celebrating its 10th birthday this year.

The metallic green paint scheme drips into grey, a cool feature that's mirrored on the Enve wheel's logo.

Colnago C60

The Colnago C60 is already an undeniably bling bike, and this gold scheme only adds to that luxurious look. The gold paint really exaggerates the lugged construction that Colnago is so famous for, and stands proud against the matte black down tubes.

Of course, the whole bike is finished with Campagnolo Super-Record – what else!

Bianchi Scuderia Ferrari

Although its red paint job does a good job of disguising it, this Ferrari bike is actually based on a Bianchi Specialissima.

What's more, there's plenty specced on this bike worthy of Ferrari, including the Astute One  full carbon saddle, just 94g, and Fulcrum 40C carbon wheels.

Pinarello Dogma F10

No custom paint job list would be complete without a Fat Creations entry, and this Muc-Off partnership is seriously cool.

The pink, black and silver lightening bolts adorn the whole bike and really pop, with the vibrant pink contrasting the dark black perfectly.
