Many of us spend the vast majority of our working week sitting at a desk in front of computer, probably consuming more energy than we’re actually burning.

But it can be surprisingly easy to make sure you stay active around the office and help you maintain your fitness for your weekend riding.

Here we’ll show you five easy ways you can keep fit at work. It can be as simple as getting up and going to see a colleague instead of emailing them, or just taking the long slog up the stairs rather than using the lift.

And it’s not just about keeping moving; making a few changes to your eating and drinking habits while you’re at your desk can also have a big impact on your fitness.

Making sure you keep hydrated with lots of water instead of sugary drinks and opting for some fruit over a chocolate bar or a packet of crisps, can stop you from treading the slippery slope to weight gain and fitness loss.
