Getting your nutrition right is a hugely important part of cycling, and can have a big impact on your riding whether you’re training for your first sportive or about to crack the pro ranks.

We all know about keeping fuelled when in the saddle and many of us will happily put away a large breakfast before a ride. But what about the night before an event or when trying to get to sleep after a particularly hard training session?

In this video, Glenn Kearney from Etixx UK discusses how to approach eating before bed and specifically the kinds of foods we should be shying away from if we want a decent night’s sleep.

Kearney has previously provided advice on the nutritional mistakes that amateurs can avoid and talked us through the high fat foods which can be good for cyclists.

Etixx is the nutritional supplier and lead sponsor of Etixx-Quick Step so their expertise is tried and tested in the men’s professional peloton.
