BMC Racing has become a stalwart of the peloton since its inception in 2007, with the team taking victories in some of the world’s biggest races, including the Tour de France.

The American based team, who’s lead sponsor is the Swiss bicycle brand, are now about to embark on a Tour campaign in support of Tejay van Garderen, who has taken over sole leadership duties from the now retired Cadel Evans.

We caught up with BMC mechanic Kevin Grove at April’s Tour de Yorkshire, where the team took a stage win through Ben Hermans, to talk about life on the team as the man with the toolbox.

While Grove has got stories from his time at the team, his nomination for fussiest rider is somewhat closer to home for cycling fans in Britain, as he picks out former British National Champion Malcolm Elliot, with whom he worked in the late 1990s.
