With another edition of the Tour de France just past, it's as good a time as any to look back on how the events of the 104th edition of the race unfolded over three weeks.

It was as dramatic as ever, with crashes, mechanicals, fighting talk and even a disqualification all playing their part in creating another memorable edition of the Tour.

Chris Froome was once again our victor, taking his fourth career maillot jaune in just five years, writing his name firmly as one of the greats in the history of the race.

We saw a new name take the green jersey for the first time since Peter Sagan began his reign of dominance over the competition in 2012, with Michael Matthews able to claim the jersey.

The French began to see a glimmer of hope that a home Tour de France winner might be a realistic possibility in the near future, with Romain Bardet taking his second podium spot in two years, and Warren Barguil winning two stages and the King of the Mountains jersey.

But the Tour is about much more than just those who take the honour of the jerseys on the final podium in Paris, with each day's action contributing to the beauty and story of each edition of the Tour.

Relive the best moments of the Tour above or watch highlights of each individual stage here.

The next Grand Tour of the year is the Vuelta a España, which kicks off on August 19.
