When Friday July 18
How long 182km
IMPACT ON CLASSIFICATIONS
A fairly unspectacular transition stage with only a few fourth category climbs along the way. A long break will probably go… but with no climbs in the last 50km the sprinters teams will drag it all together for a bunch gallop.
? Nîmes has hosted the Tour 15 times. The first was in 1905 and the last was in 2004 when Aitor Gonzalez won.
? This is one of 10 flat road stages in this years Tour, but that?s still one less than in the previous two years.
? Number of transition stages in the last three years has been three.
? In 2006, none of the three transition stages ended up in a bunch sprint.
? In 2007, two ended in a bunch sprint.
