Cyclist dies in Surrey multi-vehicle collision, police appeal for witnesses

A 50-year-old female cyclist was killed as a result of a traffic collision in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey, on Thursday morning.

According to Surrey Police, the collision involved the cyclist, a van, a car and a tanker lorry. The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident occurred at 6.40am on Molesey Road near the junction of Rydens Road and the road was closed during the morning, but reopened in the afternoon.

The van driver was seriously injured and taken to St Georges Hospital in Tooting.

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses or information relating to the incident by telephoning 101 and quoting reference P15136173.
