SRAM issues voluntary PowerLock recall

SRAM has issued a voluntary recall for its 10-speed PowerLock chain after determining that it has the potential to fail.

As a result, SRAM is retrieving and replacing all affected connector links from the marketplace.

The problem identified is a crack that may develop during installation and/or early use.

Although the potential for failure is just 2.5 plates out of 1000, SRAM advises its customers to stop using the chain immediately.

Please note that this is not a chain recall, it is limited to the 10-speed PowerLock model. SRAM advises customers to stop using your bike immediately and to return the bike to the retailer to verify whether it is affected.
