Clothing manufacturer Vulpine has enjoyed a storming start to its crowdfunding venture, where it hopes to raise £500,000.
The brand, founded in 2012 by Nick Hussey, has always aimed to design clothing that looks great on and off the bike and is now giving the public the chance to become part of the Vulpine story.
Hussey revealed that he turned down the offer of private investment in the brand in order to go ahead with the crowdfunding venture.
And the move looks to be paying off, with over £170,000 raised in the first 24 hours, with the company looking to expand into new markets as well as growing its partnership with Sir Chris Hoy’s brand HOY.

How to wash your cycle clothing
As part of Hussey’s plans, Vulpine will look to expand into the USA and Asia – with Japan and South Korea particular targets – as well as manufacturing a range of clothes in the north of England.
Vulpine beat off many interested parties to join forces with HOY this year, and Sir Chris is confident the expansion of the range will be a success.
He said: “Vulpine is a brand that shares the same values as me, focused on quality and with an inherent attention to detail, they were exactly what we were looking for and that’s why the partnership works so well.”
