Mountain biker Antoine Bizet laid down a serious marker to fellow competitors in his qualifying run at the Red Bull Rampage in the Utah desert, with a flawless backflip over the canyon gap the highlight of a stellar opening run that also included a huge 360 spin and some bold no-handed jumps.
His run began with a perilous ride down a bumpy sandstone cliff, before he picked up speed and bombed towards the ramp over the canyon gap, landing a backflip over the jump that Kerry McGarry famously backflipped in the 2013 event.

Remarkably though, it was not enough for Bizet to qualify in first place, with Graham Agassiz taking that honour for his run which featured some incredible air and terrifyingly sheer drops.
But Bizet will be among the favourites going into the final which, due to bad weather, has been moved to 5:30pm on Friday.
