Cavendish on BBC Sports Personality shortlist

British cyclist Mark Cavendish is one of 10 sportsmen to have made it onto the shortlist for the 2011 BBC Sports Personality of the Year award.

Cavendish joins Darren Clarke (golf), Luke Donald (golf), Rory McIlroy (golf), Mo Farah (athletics), Dai Greene (athletics), Amir Khan (boxing), Andy Murray (tennis), Alastair Cook (cricket) and Andrew Strauss (cricket). It's the third consecutive year that the Manx sprinter has made the final 10.
