25,000 register for Ride London cycle event

The popularlity of cycling in London shows to sign of waning after the Olympic Games, with over 25,000 people now registered for next year's inaugural Ride London 100-mile event.

The proposed route travels south from the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park into Surrey and takes in much of the Olympic road race course. A maximum of 75,000 places are available.
