Mark Cavendish and David Millar both have some customised equipment for the Giro d?Italia.
Millar is very proud of his new Specialized shoes.
In the past he had blue and argyle shoes decorated with the Scottish Saltire.
For the Giro he?s got a dapper black pair of shoes with a polished (and so easy to clean) upper, a suede toe cap and a red, white and sky blue Mod bulls eye on the heal that matches the Garmin team colours.
Cavendish has a new Scott Addict bike for the Giro. It is the same as the bike he used to win Milan-San Remo and his eight other victories so this season but has a special Italian touch.
The head tube on his bike is decorated with the red, white and green colours of the Italian flag.
His name is also airbrushed big and clear on the head tube, so that everyone knows it is his.
The Columbia team use Shimano Dura Ace components but surprisingly Cavendish?s bike is fitted with the older 7800 version of the rear mech.
Cavendish also has a different stem to his team mates and uses a very chunky and very rigid PRO prototype carbon fibre model.
