If you’ve got some posh Lightweight wheels and even an £18,000 Lightweight bike, then you might be interested in Lightweight’s new range of clothing to complete the look, which features all the items you’ll need to look the part both on and off the bike.
Of course, as you’d expect form Lightweight none of this kit is going to come cheap. The men’s Rauschbegleiter jersey will set you back £119, while the women’s Bezwirnbar jersey is strangely even more expensive at £130. Both jerseys are designed for hot weather, with mesh panels at the rear to let hot air escape.
The shorts in the range are even more expensive with the men’s Trittrausch bib shorts costing £199 and the women’s non-bib Fernverführung shorts being priced at £179. However for that money you do get a high-quality Elastic Interface pad which Lightweight says will be comfortable even on long rides of six hours or more.
Finishing off the riding range is a men’s gilet and baselayer, while there is also a choice of t-shirts and polo shirts so you can look as good off the bike as you do on it.
According to Lightweight, the range is the culmination of two years or development, with precisely 32,794km ridden by its platoon of 30 test riders, so we’ll have to see if all testing has been worth it when we get the clothing in for test.
