The people at Rapha certainly know how to create a stylish product. When the London-based cycle clothing manufacturer decided to produce a magazine to celebrate the world of road cycling – Rouleur – they did so with characteristic panache.

Now that the quarterly Rouleur has been in print for well over a year, the editorial team have decided to collect together a showcase of images from six photographers featured in the magazine – Ben Ingham, Camille J McMillan, Gerard Brown, Geoff Waugh, Olaf Unverzart and Timm Kölln.

The hardback Rouleur Photography Annual 2007 contains hundreds of images all beautifully reproduced throughout its 250 pages. Rouleur have set out to evoke the spirit of road cycling, something that would appeal to hardcore roadies and weekend warriors alike.

From images of empty, beckoning roads, to dirt and pain ingrained on pro’s faces, the six photographers have very different styles – which allows the book to provide a fresh perspective with every turn of the page. It’s a stunning collection that any cyclist will appreciate and at £35, it’s also well priced.

Rouleur Photography Annual 2007 was launched at Rapha’s Rouleur exhibition in London in October and is now on sale. You can obtain a copy from Rapha’s online shop or at one of three cycle shops – Condor Cycles, Mosquito Bikes or Cyclefit.
