RCS Sport, the organisation behind the Giro d’Italia, have released a new promo video a week before they officially announce the 2015 route on October 6.
The first grand tour of the year is due to take place between May 9 and May 31 2015, and it was revealed back in July that the Giro will start with an 18km long team time trial in the Liguria region of northwest Italy.
RCS Sport also confirmed back in early September that the three week race would take on the 16.2km Madonna di Campiglio climb. It will be the first time the climb has been used in the Giro since 1999 , when Marco Pantani was forced out of the race for suspected doping after the stage that finished on the at the summit.
Defending Giro champion Nairo Quintana has yet to confirm whether he will ride to defend his title, but has hinted that he will make an attempt at the Tour de France general classification in 2015.
