Last year’s overall champion, Simon Gerrans will not feature for Orica-GreenEDGE in this year’s edition, having suffered injuries after a training crash in December. The race will continue to give a good opportunity for the sprinters to find their legs, with the dominant Marcel Kittel set to appear for his team, Giant-Alpecin.

Sky Sports will be the sole UK broadcaster again this year, with live coverage of each stage and a highlights package in the daytime after the race.
