Gronlund and Pettinger continue build-up to hill-climb national champs

Reigning national hill-climb champion Gunnar Gronlund (RST-Trigon) continued the build up to his title defence when he won the Stocksbridge CC event on the 860-yard Pea Royd Lane course in South Yorkshire.

Gronlund won by less than four seconds over the same course that was used for the national championships in 2009, with Lee Baldwin (Buxton CC) second and James Allen (Sheffrec CC) third.
