National 10, 25 and 50-mile national champion Matt Bottrill (Drag2zero.com) added another big achievement to his 2014 season when he broke the competition record for 25 miles in Wales on Sunday.

Leicester-based Bottrill clocked 45-43 to win the Port Talbot Wheelers 25 on the R25/3L course near Rhigos on a near-perfect day for time trialling, beating Michael Hutchinson’s two-year-old record by just three seconds.
