But it’s not been a completely smooth road to success King, as she tells us in the seventh episode of our ‘Show us your scars’ series, with a number of crashes along the way.
The Wiggle-Honda rider tells us about her very first crash in her first ever time trial round a fire station, while she also elaborates on a more serious incident last year on a training ride, which saw her spend time in intensive care in a South Wales hospital, suffering eight broken ribs and a punctured lung.
