Just who is the best bike handler in the peloton? Most wouldn’t disagree with the submission of Peter Sagan‘s name for that award, particularly after incidents like this at the Tour of Flanders.

But there’s more to his repertoire than just the fancy wheelies and bunny-hops, with the world champion often demonstrating his skills as one of the best descenders in the bunch, which was definitely made certain after that descent on the Col de Manse.

Then there’s Vincenzo Nibali, well known for his own exploits in putting time into his rivals on descents with his seemingly fearless skills, while the women’s peloton has it’s own band of skilful riders, with the likes of Elisa Longo Borghini one of the stand-out riders in the corners.

We took the opportunity to ask a few pros who they thought was the stand-out rider for skill in their mind, with a few surprise answers.
