Victoria Pendleton Manc World Cup

Jamie Staff and Victoria Pendleton became Britain's first Track National Champions of 2007 on Tuesday at the National Senior and Disability Track Championships (October 2-6) in Manchester.

Staff gave a dominant performance in the Men's Kilometre Time Trial to take the 2007 title, beating second-placed Ed Clancy by four tenths of a second.

Pendleton (pictured) came away with gold and the National Champ's red, white and blue jersey in the Women's 500m Time Trial.

The following day (Wednesday), Chris Newton marked his return to the boards by winning the Men's 40km Scratch Race. Kate Cullen won the women's event.
