Valverde doping questioning put back to Wednesday

The Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) announced on Friday that the Alejandro Valverde?s questioning regarding his involvement in Operacion Puerto has now been put back to Wednesday February 18.
It seems that Valverde will travel to Rome to face questioning after his team asked for the two-day delay.
Valverde was summonsed to appear on Monday after the Procura Anti-doping investigators reportedly confirmed that a bag of blood found in a Madrid fridge during the Operacion Puerto police raids was matched to Valverde via a blood test carried when the 2008 Tour de France visited Italy.
Valverde denied any wrong doing and claimed the alleged bag of blood labeled with the name Valv-piti is not his.
We will perhaps know who is telling the truth after Wednesday?s midday hearing.
