Rohan Dennis takes on the Hour Record today at Grenchen, Switzerland - and you can watch a live stream of the coverage here.
Dennis is the latest in a stream of cyclists to attack the Hour recently. The current holder of the record is Austrian Matthias Brändle, who set a mark of 51.852km in October.
Dennis' fellow Australian Jack Bobridge made an attempt last week, but fell short by 500m after a blisteringly fast start.
Dennis, who warmed up for his attempt by winning the Tour Down Under, hopes to put pressure on Sir Bradley Wiggins, who is planning a crack later in 2015.
"If I have a ripper of a day and get 53km and above, it could put enough pressure on Wiggins that he doesn’t get it," Dennis told Cycling Weekly in December.
"I may be talking complete crap right now. Whatever I do it will give him a bench-mark, but on the other hand it might not be an easy target to beat, so it could work out better for me."
Above is the UCI's live stream of Dennis' attempt, which will take place at 1pm UK time (2pm CET) on Sunday.
