CERVELO CONFIRM LLOYD, HUNT AND DEIGNAN FOR 2009 TEAM

Cervelo Test Team has confirmed that British riders Dan Lloyd and Jeremy Hunt, and Ireland?s Philip Deignan will ride for the new team in 2009.
The three will join Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre and sprinter Thor Hushovd in the line-up, with other riders to be announced shortly. The team is likely to include at least 22 riders, with Britain?s Roger Hammond and Dan Fleeman expected to be announced as part of the team when contracts have been cleared and signed later this year.
The team will be directed by Scott Sunderland and has been created by the Canadian bike builder after the end of their long-term relationship with Bjarne Riis? CSC team. Other technical sponsors include Vittoria, Speedplay, Zipp and 3TTT. A main sponsor may also be brought in before the start of the 2009 season.
Hunt joins Cervelo from Credit Agricole, while Lloyd finally gets a well-deserved place in the big races after riding for Sean Kelly?s An Post team this year. Deignan joins from the French Ag2r team.
