Fabian Cancellara returns to training after E3 Harelbeke crash
Fabian Cancellara got the all-clear to return to cycling on Tuesday, having broken two vertebrae at E3 Harelbeke, and jumped straight back into training.
Decked out in his Trek Factory Racing attire, Spartacus made the most of the sunshine to get some miles back in his legs, claiming he is now pain free from his injuries.
Cancellara's cobbled Classics season was over after just 39km of his first race, as a crash at E3 Harelbeke ruled him out of the Tour of Flanders and Paris-Roubaix.
The Swiss could make his comeback at the Tour des Fjords in late May, after which Cancellara will likely look to add to his seven Tour de France stage wins in July, with the opening prologue in Utrecht suiting his style.
Then, in September, Cancellara will try to end his World Championship Road Race duck on a rolling course in Richmond, Virginia as well as attempting to win the time trial title for a fifth time.
